August 31, 2009: Day 4
Today’s Day 4 of my John Reese inspired “Pebble Theory” Momentum series “self-challenge” and the goal for today was to have written my second information product for this series.
But before I get to that, I have a couple of announcements to make:
First off, the first dollar is in! Yeah!
I’ve marked the auspicious occassion down on my calendar as the day the “Pebble Theory” Momentum series challenge earned its first buck. Woohoo!
****
Also, I’d like to thank Stewart Shaw for being so enthusiastic about this challenge and for jumping in, feet first, to follow along with his own.
You can keep track of Stew’s progress over on his blog at: http://www.stewshaw.net
Go
on over and show your support. It’s not often you find someone who is not only willing, but eager, to work their tail off just to see if a theory proves true in practice…with no promise of a payoff.
But Stewart was willing to step out on faith and go for the dream, and I for one intend to cheer him on. I’d love it if you’d join me in doing so. Thank you.

Oh yeah, and I’m a little excited, too, because I got my first subscriber to my email list yesterday! You’ve seen the sign-up box up there at the top right corner of the blog, yes? Well, yesterday, someone else decided to put their name and email address in there and click the button for more. Yeehaw! Thank you, Subscriber #1!!!

One more thing: Yesterday, I sent out several copies of my first product for this challenge, Money In Your Inbox: Publishing YOUR OWN Information Products For CASH, to some folks who agreed to give me some feedback on it and here’s what they had to say:
Kevin Birch said…
“Publishing YOUR OWN Information Products For CASH is an easy to understand read with absolutely no hype.
It contains tons of useful information if you are looking create your own product. If you are looking to succeed in online marketing having your own product will definitely give you a head start in achieving your goals and this guide will get you on the right track.”
Ernie Barrett said…
“Its a short guide that presents an easy to follow outline from start to finish for publishing your first informational product and profiting from it. A great resource for someone just starting ( Newbie )”
There are a few more I’m still waiting to hear back on, and I’ll let you know about those when they come in.

So…creating my second product. How’d it go?
First off, did you know I home-school my kids? Yep, and I have four still doing studies (of six), and today was our first day of the 2009-2010 term — which means I’m supposed to crawl my lazy butt out of bed at 8:00 AM (which is incredibly early for a night owl like me!) feed the kiddos, and sit down to do lessons for five hours or so.
As you might imagine, this doesn’t leave much time for my product creation guide, but…
I did make a bit of progress. My title is set. I decided to call this one “CASH from your PASSION: How to Create YOUR OWN Information Products to Sell Online.” My outline is done, and I’m a little more than one-third of the way through the writing.
With the additional “things to do” going on in my house, it may take me more than a couple of days to produce the remaining guides, but the amount of time doesn’t matter, right?
What matters is that I get it done. And so I will.
Here is my list of to-do tasks, my goals for the remainder of today:
Finish writing and make my second product *downloadable*, create a product image, create my PayPal button, create my “Thank You/download page”, and then get everything online so that this product, too, is actually available for sale.
Drop by tomorrow to see if I manage it (amid the madness!) and to find out what’s next on the agenda.
