I don’t think Tony, John, and Frank are missing the mark. In fact, I think they’re dead on.
In my opinion, the last thing people need is more hand-holding to “make it,” to succeed, to make their dreams a reality.
Why? Because it allows them to lower their drive.
People become less active in the process of becoming successful, of creating their own success, because they give themselves permission to wait for someone to help them instead of just forging through on their own path to make it happen for themselves.
It’s like they’re saying, “Oh, yeah, I want it, and I’ll get there as soon as Frank (or the “guru” of your choice) stops playing bigwig and helps me do it.”
I think all the buzz for hand-holding is an excuse, that asking for it, waiting for it, expecting it even, just makes people lazy and more or less lets them off the hook for taking responsibility for the direction their own business or life is taking.
Tell me…how does Frank’s being the creator of Mass Control make him responsible for YOU to succeed with it? How does John’s being the mastermind behind Traffic Secrets make him responsible for your ability to get traffic? How does either of these guys being the creator of their PRODUCTS make them responsible for you working the information in those products to your own benefit?
They aren’t. You are responsible for your own destiny, within the will of God.
If you truly want to succeed, you will.
You will make it happen.
If you’re comfortable where you’re at, you’ll stay there. I know this because I’m a people-watcher of sorts and over the years the one thing I’ve noticed is that all people will always find a way to have what they really want…even if they have to create it.
How can I say all this when I myself am no John Reese or Frank Kern or Tony Robbins , although I definitely WILL be in a like position of success someday soon?
Because it’s me.
Ever heard the phrase, “Know thyself?” Well, I know me, and the things I am saying here, I am saying because I recognize all of it about myself. I think if you’ll take a few moments to really be honest with yourself, you’ll admit that it’s you, too.
I’m not “calling you out” or singling out any one person here. I’m talking about myself, and I’ve watched enough people to know what I am saying is definitely relative to a number of you out there as well.
Look, not so long ago, I used to think exactly the same thing…that if someone would just climb down off their high horse and HELP me, I could be where I wanted to be, have the things I wanted out of life. But the more I thought about it, the more I took responsibility for myself, once I realized the only person not believing, taking the required action to make sure I succeeded was ME, I saw the need for hand-holding from the higher-ups for what it really was…an excuse to work less or to put off trying altogether.
Let me ask you this: why should they help you anyway?
Do you think these people are driven to make sure you succeed MORE THAN YOU YOURSELF ARE?
Come on. It has to be YOU. If you’re not ready, willing, and able to do what it takes to make it, if you aren’t driven within yourself to accomplish whatever it is you desire to accomplish…what makes you think it’s okay for you to expect someone else to put in the effort to get you to the point where you are?
What makes you think it is someone else’s responsibility, just because they’ve created a product or two showing you the way, to make you want something bad enough to go after it…if you don’t?
The left and right of it is, it’s not their responsibility. It’s yours.
And before you charge through a hate response demanding to know how I can say the responsibility for certain products not working as the creators have said they did isn’t yours…yes it is. These people have already proved their products worked…for THEM. So yes, the products they’re selling you do work. They have and do work…for the creator of them.
Those same products CAN work for you, too…if you want the results badly enough to actually do what they tell you to do. How do I know? They worked once. For someone. If it worked once, it can and will work again.
Another thing: When I say these people aren’t responsible for your success, I’m not saying the Franks, and Tonys, and Johns of the world don’t want you to succeed. I’m not saying they won’t help anyone, because they do.
What I am saying is that I believe it is actually just the opposite…they DO want you to succeed, very much so, because they already know how wonderful it is to not have to worry about bill collectors calling you, or to not be afraid you’re never going to know your kids because you’re never there with them to get to know them.
They already know how wonderful it is to simply decide to spend a week in Maui, and be able to pick up and go whenever they want. Or to buy a new Porche, or to just spend the day doing whatever you want without having to worry life will fall apart tomorrow because of it.
These guys KNOW reaching a point where you don’t have to worry about money is good, and they aren’t greedy. They are more than willing to share this kind of world with you, and every day they’re out there inviting you in…because they also know how bad it SUCKS to be where you are now.
How do they know? They know because each of them were there once themselves. And neither of them have forgotten where they came from, forgotten the little guy. Not one of them has forgotten what it was like to be the men they were then…before they reached the turning point in their lives that made them who they are now.
They CAN’T forget, else they would find themselves right back where you are, in your shoes, doing what you’re doing…again. I’m willing to bet neither of them want that for themselves…nor do they wish that kind of life for YOU.
No, Tony, Frank, and John want you to succeed.
What else could have sent Frank and John to Tony Robbins…TONY freakin’ ROBBINS, guys! to find out what is keeping you from moving forward? What else would have motivated Tony to take the time to answer Frank and John’s questions? More money? Come on. Like Frank needs a bigger crib, or John needs another Porche.
These guys really DO care about you. So much so, they’ve gone a step BEYOND delivering a road map to success to you…they went out of their way with this interview to buy you a car, too, and find the perfect instructor to teach you how to drive it.
What more can we ask for?
